Moon on the Rain

Happy international women's day to all of you amazing women! It's not always easy being a woman, not even in modern, western society. Although we have gotten more rights over the past decades, it seems we still have to fight a tad harder to get where we want, to be noticed and to succeed in what we strive for. 

But I guess there's no use complaining about the position of women in the 'west'.  There are countries where women are being denied their rights, where they are  sometimes not even being acknowledged in their existence. 

But we're still here, we're still strong and we will continue to be. I love being a woman, although I can get upset about how less chances we get on a thriving career, how we're discriminated for being a woman, who can't possibly ( in the eyes of men ) lead a company or set up business. And when we finally get to this booming career, chances are that we will get paid less. Significantly less that is ( then our male-colleagues ). 

But women are strong... They may lack in physical strength, but our hearts are kind and our patience endless... Women endure, we are resilient. We give birth to new life and help it grow. How amazing and noteworthy is that. 

I'm now browsing the web to see if there's women's day events nearby... And maybe I should text Popcorn to remind him of this day... He might cook tonight! That would be a treat... 

Girls, women... Have a good one! Stay strong, wherever you are.
